Terms of Service.

• You must be 18 years old or over.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You must not impersonate another person or create multiple accounts to mislead others.
• You must not use the Service if you have previously been permanently banned.

Keep It Halal is a marriage-intent introduction service for Muslims. Profiles, matching, chat and coaching are designed to help members find a spouse in a safe, respectful environment. It is not a casual dating platform, and behaviour that undermines the marriage-intent purpose is not allowed.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access by emailing support@keepithalal.com.

We may ask you to verify your identity, age or contact details at any time. Refusing verification may result in restricted access or account closure.

You keep ownership of the content you upload (photos, videos, profile text). By uploading it, you grant us a licence to store, display and process it as needed to run the Service — for example, showing it to potential matches, running safety checks, and creating thumbnails.

You must not upload content that:

• Is illegal, abusive, hateful, threatening or harassing.
• Is sexually explicit, pornographic or contains nudity.
• Promotes violence, extremism or illegal activity.
• Contains personal data about another person without their consent.
• Infringes anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
• Contains links to third-party chat, payment or dating services used to bypass our safety features.

Matching and chat are governed by the product rules shown in the app, including the 3-day conversation window, reveal rules, skip limits, Wali observation and screenshot protections. These rules are part of these Terms. We may adjust timers, limits and eligibility to keep the Service fair and safe.

A member may invite a Wali (chaperone) to observe a conversation in read-only mode. The Wali must create their own account, accept the invitation and use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Wali accounts are not for dating or matching and may not message, like or interact with profiles.

Some features require payment. Prices are shown before you buy and may differ between the website and the app to reflect platform fees. All purchases are handled by Apple, Google or Stripe, depending on where you pay.

Everything we sell today is a one-off purchase. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically, so there is no recurring charge to cancel. Your purchases and receipts are listed in the app and on your Profile page.

Refunds and disputes are handled according to our refund policy and the rules of the payment provider you used. For billing questions, email billing@keepithalal.com.

Human trafficking and exploitation are strictly prohibited on the Service. You must not use the Service to engage in, facilitate, advertise, finance, promote, aid, abet or encourage:

• Human trafficking of any kind, including sex trafficking, forced labour, servitude, debt bondage or slavery.
• Sexual exploitation, prostitution, escort or commercial sexual services, or pimping and procuring.
• Recruiting, harbouring, transporting, advertising or obtaining any person for sexual exploitation, forced marriage, forced labour or any other form of exploitation.
• Child sexual exploitation or abuse, child sexual abuse material, grooming, or the sexualisation of a minor in any form.
• Physical, sexual, emotional or financial abuse of any person, or coercion, deception, threats or fraud used to obtain sexual activity, marriage, travel, money or work.

Accounts involved in this conduct are removed permanently, evidence is preserved, and we report to law enforcement and the relevant child-protection authorities. Full detail is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms, and requests from authorities are handled through our Law Enforcement page.

You may not:

• Use the Service for any purpose other than lawful, marriage-intent introductions.
• Harass, stalk, threaten or abuse other members or staff.
• Attempt to circumvent safety features, verification, blocks or chat restrictions.
• Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to access the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the app's code or network traffic.
• Sell, transfer or share your account.
• Upload false, misleading or fraudulent information.

We review reports and automated safety signals. We may warn, restrict, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these Terms or that we reasonably believe may harm the community. Where a serious decision affects your account, it is reviewed by a person before it stands and you can appeal by emailing support@keepithalal.com.

You may delete your account at any time. See the account deletion instructions.

We do our best to keep the Service safe and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every match will be suitable or that every interaction will be positive. You are responsible for your own conduct and for decisions you make about meeting or continuing contact with another member.

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

The Keep It Halal name, logo, design and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use them without our written permission.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local law says otherwise.
