Keep it on the platform

Phone numbers, emails and social handles are blocked in early chat. This is not us being awkward — moving off-platform is how the vast majority of scams begin, and once you leave, none of our protections apply.

Automatic moderation reviews messages for harassment, off-platform contact attempts and pressure tactics.

Use a wali

Wali co-chat is free for everyone. Sisters can nominate a wali who joins as an observer — they can read the conversation but cannot post in it or act on your profile or matches.

Many members find a wali present raises the tone of the conversation on both sides from day one.

Report, block, and step away

One tap reports a conversation. Real humans review every report, usually within hours, and repeat offenders are removed.

You can also block a match, pause your profile from Settings, or use contact blocking during onboarding so people in your phone contacts never see you.

1. 1Open the conversation menu and choose Report.
2. 2Pick a reason and add anything useful — screenshots are not needed.
3. 3Block the person if you do not want any further contact.
